RTS Bereavement is a national hospital-based bereavement program that assists families who have lost a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, or infant death. The program addresses individual needs through support provided by trained nurses which begins at the time of the loss and continues throughout the grief process.
The RTS Bereavement support group is offered the third Tuesday monthly at 7:30 p.m. in the private dining room of Virginia Baptist Hospital adjacent to the cafeteria.
A lending library is available.
For more information, contact Evelyn Harker, RN, at (434) 200-4568.
Kids Haven is a support group for children ages 3 – 18 grieving a death.
They meet twice-monthly in local area high schools. This support group meets the unique needs of children grieving the death of a person who was significant in their lives. Children come to Kids’ Haven for grief support after the death of both family members and friends.
